Pastoral Care Volunteers
The Pastoral Care team of volunteers is here to help the church community. We provide meals, rides, and run errands. If you know anyone who could use these services or would appreciate a card or a phone call, please let us know. A message to Pastoralcare@firstchurchinsalem.org will go directly to the care committee: Sally Millice . We have a team of care angels who help with these requests. Our assistance is kept confidential.
Worship Tech Volunteers
Currently we need a Sound Technician/Coordinator and a Virtual Worship Coordinator. Below are brief descriptions. I would ensure training on all devices. These opportunities are open to church members and friends ages 12 and older. Familiarity with some tech is helpful but not required.
Sound Tech/Coordinator
Using the provided phone app to manage sound during the service.
- Run sound check
- Maintain levels during service
Virtual Worship Coordinator
Using provided ipads set up and monitor devices for zoom streaming before service.
- Set up ipad in/near pulpit
- Set up second ipad in balcony near organ
- Ensure streaming is set and ready to go with Catherine
